Celebrating Black Doula Day – April 11, 2025
We hosted our first annual Black Doula Day celebration at the Civil Rights Heritage Center in South Bend, Indiana. Eight doulas were recognized for their contribution in supporting families across several counties in the Michiana area.
Historical Context of Medical Institutional Racism in the U.S.
History helps us understand how we got to where we are today with maternal health disparities and a general mistrust of medical providers by many in the Black community.
