BIRTH Workers Rock!
Birth work is both rewarding and challenging. Sharing the intimate and sacred birth space with expectant parents can be exhilarating and exhausting at the same time. We believe it’s worth it!
ADVOCACY
An important part of birth work is advocating on behalf of the client and encouraging the client to advocate for themselves. Pregnancy and birth bring lots of changes, so it is important to have the confidence to ask questions and get answers that lead to a better understanding of what is happening.
SUPPORT
Doulas provide informational, physical, and often emotional support to families on their journey from pregnancy to parenthood.
EMPOWERMENT
Birth workers aim to empower pregnant persons to make informed health care decisions for themselves and their babies.
